Integrated Marketing Communications

This four-course sequence is for those who need to acquire expertise in marketing
communications. Those with work experience or academic degrees in advertising, public
relations, sales, or marketing will find this professional sequence particularly beneficial. For new
college graduates, the sequence can provide the means of mastering the principles of marketing
communications in order to enter this growing field.
Requirements
The sequence comprises four 30-hour courses for a total of 120 hours. All coursework must be
completed within three years with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and no grade lower than C. A
certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course sequence. Please call the program office to verify your completion.
Required courses
You can begin the professional sequence by enrolling in any of the four courses.
Registration Procedure
We recommend that you register for the professional sequence before you begin your second course in the program. To register, please (1) complete and submit the
Program Registration Form or (2) print out and complete the form at
www.unex.berkeley.edu/info/cert.php. Mail or fax it as it indicates, and include the nonrefundable registration fee. Professional sequence registration cannot be taken by phone.
Requirements may be updated based on new developments in the field of study; we recommend completing the program in a timely fashion.
