Oxford/Berkeley Program
Are You Merton Material?
For over 38 years, people like you—teachers, doctors, lawyers, homemakers, and other professionals—have slipped the bonds of their routine lives and transformed themselves into Oxford University scholars. During the three-week session, your seminar group meets every weekday morning with your instructor. The afternoons are free for independent study in one of the university's many libraries or perhaps under a tree in a beautiful garden.
Timeless College … Innovative Courses
You live and study at Merton College. Established in the thirteenth century, Merton is an archetypal Oxford college, with medieval architecture, picturesque gargoyles, and mullioned windows that look out on ancient quads.
You select one of 12 seminars, ranging in subject from William Morris to Shakespeare to the Royal Navy. Each seminar is limited to 12 participants and is taught by a university don. Seminar descriptions for 2009 will be available in October.
