How to Apply
As the international economy expands, companies throughout the world have come to recognize the importance of marketing. The Evening Certificate Program in Marketing helps you build a solid foundation in the field upon which you can add your own global experience. The program focuses primarily on U.S. marketing practices that are successfully used in global commerce.
The Marketing Program provides you with insights into the value and limitations of research data, as well as the methods applied to meet specific information needs. In your courses, you examine market structures, market segmentation, marketing organizations, distribution channels to both consumers and other businesses, and nonprofit marketing.
Key Objectives
Completing the Evening Certificate Program in Marketing will help you
- develop an understanding of the basic elements of marketing
- understand the principles, relationships, and strategies of integrated marketing components and technologies
- gain an overview of marketing communication vehicles such as Customer Relationships Management (CRM), sales promotion, direct marketing, Internet marketing, and one-on-one sales meetings

The Curriculum
The standard curriculum consists of a total of 14 semester units (210 hours of instruction), including four required courses and three elective courses. For your elective courses you may choose a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications.

Note: The Integrated Marketing Communications specialization is the only marketing track approved for Optional Practical Training.

- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- The Evening Certificate Program in Marketing is not recommended for those with significant experience in marketing.

Completing Your Program
The minimum time required to complete an Evening Certificate Program in Marketing is nine months, though your individual program may take longer due to the fact that not all courses are offered each term, some courses may be canceled, and some courses may fill before you register. You may begin the program in any term.
