1. Your online classroom incorporates message boards, web links, chat rooms, and other resources that are designed specially for your class. Online Assignments and quizzes can be completed and submitted via e-mail or online forms.

2. Peruse your introductory materials in the Course Overview. Here you will find your syllabus, course requirements and grading information.

3. Each course is divided into units. You can navigate through the unit by using the pull-down menu in the left navigation area. Within each unit you will find the unit Instructions, and the unit Lecture.

4. Unit Instructions are where you will find the assignments for the unit. These often include readings from textbooks and lectures, group discussion assignments, written assignments, and study questions.

5. Unit Lectures make up the bulk of the unit content. Each lecture is subdivided into smaller lecture topics. You can navigate through the lecture topics one at a time by clicking the blue arrow buttons at the top of each topic. You can also choose from a pull-down menu at the top right of each topic page to jump to any of the current unit's lecture topics.

6. Group discussions are often included in individual assignments throughout the course. These can be held in both the message board and the chat room. Feel free to arrange for online chats with classmates to discuss your course work. Office hours will be held in the class chat room, meeting times will be arranged by your instructor.
