UC Berkeley Extension Student ADA Complaint Procedure
UC Berkeley Extension strives to provide quality service to disabled students. The Disabled Students Coordinator is available to assist students in need of accommodations. In the event, that a student is dissatisfied with the process or the response from UC Berkeley Extension staff, the student should follow the complaint procedure outlined below.
  1. The student should address the complaint in writing to the Assistant Dean, UC Berkeley Extension, 1995 University Ave. Suite 110, Berkeley, CA 94704-7000.
  2. The Assistant Dean will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within three business days and forward the complaint to the appropriate department for research.
  3. The department will research the complaint and respond within seven business days to the Associate Dean, recommending a resolution if appropriate.
  4. The Assistant Dean will respond to the student within five business days outlining the results of the research and any further action. (The Assistant Dean may delegate the final response to another party such as a department chair or the Registrar.)
