Course Development and Approval
Extension’s curricula are developed by an academic staff of continuing education specialists in consultation with organizations such as corporations, K-12 schools, international universities, and government agencies. Extension courses are designed to address current needs, respond to emerging trends, and incorporate the latest research, techniques, and practices. All courses offered for credit are reviewed and approved by UC Berkeley.

The University of California is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the official accrediting agency for this region.
