UC Berkeley Extension offers a range of undergraduate-level mathematics courses and several sections of introductory statistics every term. Our math and statistics courses have received the academic approval of the UC Berkeley campus and are equal in content and rigor to the corresponding UC Berkeley courses.
Math in Two Formats
-
If attending a formal lecture once or twice a week is your style, our traditional math classes are for you. See the current UC Berkeley Extension catalog for course descriptions and schedules.
-
If you need more flexibility in the schedule and pace of your math course, consider our Self-Paced Mathematics program. These are not correspondence courses. You work at your own pace, using a comprehensive study guide, and take exams when you are ready. You can attend class up to three times a week and get one-on-one instruction from instructors who have been teaching in this program for more than 15 years.
