The Certificate Program in College Admissions and Career Planning provides the
in-depth
knowledge and technical skills necessary to direct others in their quest for higher education and
career fulfillment. Special attention is given to training in the college admissions process
while emphasizing the connection
to the world of work. The certificate program can be completed in one year (14 semester units).
If you have a bachelor's degree, you may
participate in this four-course integrated curriculum. You will join other dedicated professionals
taking
courses in summer (College Admissions Advising A), fall (College Admissions Advising B), spring (Career Planning for College Admissions)
and
Counseling Techniques
(spring or fall) to complete the program in one year. Field site observations and participation in admissions/career
advising settings throughout the year will enhance your learning. Begin in summer and continue in fall and spring; the alternate starting point is spring term with
