Participants learn to assess the strengths and needs of struggling readers and to design appropriate instructional plans based on effective strategies that meet the needs of individual students.

SHARON ZINKE, M.A., has taught reading for more than 40 years. She has been a classroom and mentor teacher, a reading specialist, and a resource specialist in California elementary and middle schools. Thousands of teachers have attended her sessions. She is currently focusing on struggling readers as a consultant with districts throughout the Bay Area.
