Research Methods in Psychology

This course provides you with an understanding of the scientific methods behind psychological research and is especially designed for those preparing for careers in psychology. You learn methods of designing, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data using examples from a variety of specialty areas in psychology. You conduct several research projects, including a final project of your own design, which helps you think more critically about scientific research in general.
Prerequisite: A lower-division general psychology course.

BERNADETTE-MARIE-HELENE GUIMBERTEAU, Ph.D., finished her Visiting Scholar appointment at UC Berkeley in 2007. She received both her master's and doctoral degrees at UC Berkeley.
