Detailing for Interiors
X410.3 (2 semester units in Architecture)
Augment your basic drafting skills to improve communication of your design concepts. Emphasis in this course is placed on facilitating good construction practices through good detailing. You learn where to find information about building systems and how to detail the primary systems used in interior design.
Prerequisite: Building Construction and Systems for Interior Architecture X413.2 or consent of instructor.

SARA JAFFE, M.Arch., runs her own design studio, Sara Jaffe Designs, which offers complete residential design services that include: house remodels and additions, interior design and custom furniture and cabinetry design. Jaffe was a partner in a design/ build remodeling firm and also designed and built custom furniture upon commission. She has taught various courses in the Interior Design Department at Fashion Institute of Technology while living and running her design studio in New York City and attended UC Berkeley, where she completed her undergraduate work in political theory and her master's degree in architecture.
