Garden Design and Construction
X426 (4 semester units in Landscape Architecture)
This intensive studio provides you with the processes and techniques you need to design a residential garden. You work on a series of design projects and learn how to present everything from initial concepts to material and plant selections; work with contractors and artisans; and estimate projects, among other essential tools of the garden design profession.
Enrollment is limited.Prerequisite: Successful completion of all other courses in the Garden Design certificate curriculum.

CARLISLE BECKER, MLA, has been self-employed for 40 years, including 18 years as an educator. His experience includes four years as an elected local official active in regional planning, as well as project-related experience with churches, cemeteries, parks, commercial/industrial facilities, woodland revegetation, aquatic habitat restoration, erosion control, and landscape management.
