Basic Financial Mathematics and Financial Spreadsheets

This workshop provides a one-day, hands-on introduction to the basic mathematics used in finance, including instruction in using Excel. In-class examples and problems include bank accounts, mutual fund returns, and home mortgages.
Note: Students who are unsure of their math skills may find this class helpful preparation for Basic Corporate Finance X430.1 and Survey of Personal Financial Planning X433.
Prerequisites: High school-level algebra (no calculus required).
