You learn about the civilizations of the western hemisphere, Africa, and the Middle East; the beliefs and social organization of India, China, and Japan; European political and intellectual revolutions; the world wars and the Cold War; anticolonialist movements; and today's political, economic, and environmental configurations across many regions.
