A requirement in the Professional Sequence in Personal Financial PlanningVarious plans are available for providing retirement and other investment-oriented employment benefits. This course examines the alternatives available to business clients, the benefits provided to their employees, planning opportunities for tax deferral and capital accumulation, and the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
Topics include stock options, nonqualified deferred compensation plans and other capital accumulation devices, tax-favored corporate retirement plans, noncorporate retirement programs, and taxation of benefits. Fiduciary responsibility requirements in connection with retirement plans are also discussed.
