Mathematics Refresher

Either as a review before you take more advanced mathematics or statistics courses, or as part of your preparations for the math sections of standardized tests (such as the general GRE, GMAT, or MCAT), this course helps you brush up on essential math skills.

You review selected topics in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics, including: properties of numbers, systems of measurement, signed numbers, powers, exponents, roots, algebraic expressions, solutions to equations with one unknown, linear and quadratic equations, linear inequalities, solving simultaneous linear equations, ratios and proportions, averages and medians, lines and angles, polygons, exponents and logarithms, trigonometric ratios, the Pythagorean identities, coordinate geometry, probability, statistics, scalars, and vectors.

Note: This course does not address test-taking strategies for specific tests, but rather covers the mathematics skills necessary for you to succeed on the exams.
