Construction Technology I
X404 (4 semester units in Landscape Architecture)
Grading, drainage, on-site water retention, and erosion control are the subjects of this course. Participants learn about structures appropriate to grading solutions (retaining walls, curbs, etc.) and develop grading skills for both earth forms and hard surfaces.
The goal is to develop an understanding of the procedures and skills for solving grading and surface drainage problems, as well as the techniques necessary for quantifying the elements of their solution.
Enrollment is limited.Prerequisites: Completion of all courses leading up to and including Studio L1: Environmental Design, X116.
