Annual Land Use Law Review and Update
(0.6 ceu)
6 hours MCLE credit for attorneys
Keeping up with changes in statutory, judiciary, and administrative laws that affect land use and environmental planning is a constant challenge. This course provides a succinct and practical analysis of legislative changes effective January 1, 2008; recent case law is discussed.
Lectures by experts in the forefront of land use law, with frequent opportunities for questions and answers, make this an important update for planners, attorneys, and others involved in land use issues. General and specific plans are considered, along with zoning and subdivision law. Changes affecting the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) are explored, as well as those affecting exactions and dedications and the takings issue. The Permit Streamlining Act and other pertinent current issues are covered, as well.
