Photosilkscreen Fundamentals
X452 (2 semester units in Art)
This course presents the basic techniques of the photostencil method, including printing with water-based, halftone, textile, and other inks on paper, cloth, metal, plastics, ceramics, and glass. You have the opportunity to practice reproducing computer-generated images, drawings, photographs, line cuts/Kodaliths, and halftones. You also learn to use your silkscreen prints to illustrate books, posters, and brochures.
Note: The course fee includes a nonrefundable $55 materials fee.
