Introduction to Computers in Education
X354 (2 semester units in Education)
Fulfills the Computer Education Level 1 requirement for California teaching credentialsThis course enables participants to use appropriate computer-based technology to facilitate the teaching and learning process. Participants become fluent, critical users of technology in order to provide their students with a relevant education and prepare them to be lifelong learners in an information-based, interactive society. Course topics include using software to enhance the instructional experience, how to use the Internet efficiently, ethical and legal issues, and software evaluations. Computer skills are not a prerequisite for this course.
This course fulfills the Level 1 computer competency requirement for the Multiple and/or Single Subject Teaching Credential on application to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
