An elective in the Professional Sequence in Database ManagementThis course introduces fundamental relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts and data normalization principles, providing a foundation for creating simple tables, queries, forms, and reports. You learn to design basic databases using data normalization rules; create tables and set properties and constraints; create table relationships; design and create queries for viewing, sorting, filtering, and analyzing data; design and create simple forms for data input; design and create simple reports for data output; use basic database functions in queries; and create charts in forms and reports.

Prerequisite: You should be comfortable navigating in a Windows environment and performing file management tasks such as copying, moving, and renaming. No database experience is necessary.
