General Chemistry II
X19B (3 semester units in Chemistry)

This course introduces fundamental concepts of inorganic chemistry including properties of solutions, kinetics, equilibria, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, nuclear chemistry, metals, nonmetals, and other topics of interest. General Chemistry is aimed at biology, pre-medical, and pre-health students. In addition, it is appropriate for returning students interested in chemistry and professionals in other disciplines considering a career change to the sciences. It is associated with Chemistry Laboratory II (X19.1B). Lecture may be taken without the laboratory.
Prerequisite: General Chemistry I (X19A) completed with a C- or better.
