(0.7 ceu)
7 hours CE credit: BRN, LCSW/MFT, and psychologists
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is becoming the standard of care in working with borderline personality disordered patients as well as other clinical cases of emotional instability that are difficult to treat or manage. Utilization of DBT has been empirically validated to reduce crises and hospitalizations and improve daily functioning of patients. This workshop provides an overview of DBT and its clinical application. Skill development modules are provided as well as specific modifications that can be made to adapt DBT to private practice or managed care settings.
