Sustainable Interiors
X411.1 (1 semester unit in Architecture)
This exciting elective course in the Professional Program in Sustainable Design now begins later in the semester (see below). Learn the latest in commercial sustainable interior design, from LEED for commercial interiors to current developments in the field. Sustainable Design Program Coordinator Michael Sammet is joined by Gensler’s Melissa Mizell along with guest lecturers from the engineering, lighting, and design fields. These professionals, combined with visits to sustainable commercial interiors in San Francisco, inspire new, energy-efficient design ideas that emerge in student projects.
